Kelvyn Boy Confident to Bring Ghana to Grammys
Ghanaian Afrobeat Singer, Kelvin Brown, known in the showbiz circle as Kelvyn Boy is hopeful and ambitious of taking Ghana to the Grammys’
The “mea” composer in an interview disclosed his intentions and passion for his career to take Ghana to the next level in music.
Kelvyn made known of how he started as a music lover in church, where his father sang in the choir and raised him on gospel, reggae greats like Lucky Dude and country music of which he shared many of the same chord progressions as church music.
He made reference to some performances he successfully went through at Assin Fosu pubs and noticed how people approached him afterwards .
According to him, the father urged him to focus on his education first even though he was good and passionate about music.
“He was like, You’re not going to get money. I did music and got nothing. But I knew what I had and where I was going,” he said.
