African dancehall king, Shatta Wale who has over the years become one of Ghana’s biggest music exports has about four studio albums to his credit which include “After the Storm” (2016) “Reign” (2018) and “Wonder Boy” (2019). He has once again been in the news but this time for the right reasons.

Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has revealed some details of his upcoming album, which is titled “GIFT OF GOD”.He confirmed in an interview with king Lagazee the “7 star General “ of Hitz fm one of the promoters of reggae/dancehall music in Africa. Shatta wale then explained how he came by the name “GIFT OF GOD”. “Well I was discussing some issues with Mr eazi and I made him aware of my new project and how I want it to be like . Mr eazi has been supportive , he is a very good friend of mine. He gave me the idea of using the “GIFT OF GOD” . I promised him I will let the world know he came up with the name”.He said in his interview with King lagazee.

Gift of God, is an album where I am going to have a couple of collaborations. I have links with Cardi b , Meek mill , Beyoncé likewise Jay z , and I hope things work out fast so I can have them on my album. I am ready for the international market now , I was doing local content because I stood by the term “dance ah yard , before you dance abroad”.

Burna boy and Davido won’t be part of the album since I have already worked with them , I am trying to work things out with Nigerians artistes like Bella shmurda , joe boy and wizkid .”Daddy lumba is one of the legends I respect a lot , I will be honored to have him on my album” He said. He already has an upcoming project with sarkodie , and he is trying to get stonebwoy , Samini on his album.

Speaking further about his expectations on the “Gift of God” album, Shatta Wale said he is sure the album when released will sell very well on the international market.

This a Job well done, and a plus to Ghana music and Africa in general.
